Procurement Officer


  • Contract to commence asap till Dec 31/2021 
  • Standard Termination clause to be stipulated in the contract or PO would be to allow for immediate cancelation if there are any instances of misconduct or lack of performance.

Must Haves

  • Perfectly bilingual ( writing and reading Arabic and English)
  • Contract Analysis experience
  • Understands the procurement policy and procedures.
  • Must be able to start immediately

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the requisitioning unit to identify and plan their procurement requests for materials, products, equipment and services.

2.  Analyze and review quotations and proposals and make recommendations to guide the requisitioning units of the best quotations.

3. Review and consolidate required documentations to be able to submit the appropriate contracts for drafting

4. Provide requesting units with proper guidance regarding the established procurement policies and procedures, new trends in the markets and emerging suppliers.

5. Identify new vendors to expand the QSL’s database of suppliers so as to provide more options and choices.

6. Complete procurement requests swiftly and ensure its delivery within the agreed timeframe.

7. Coordinate and follow up on suppliers to speed up the delivery of needed products and performance of services required. 

8. Coordinate and facilitate processing of suppliers’ payments with the Finance and submit complete documentation.

9. Negotiate contract terms and conditions including purchase prices to reduce and optimize purchase costs.

10. Take appropriate actions on any additional related tasks that may be assigned by superiors.
